Cardamom Organic Essential Oil

Our organic Cardamom Essential Oil is steam distilled from the aromatic, flavorful seeds of the perennial Elettaria cardamomum plant, also known as the Queen of Spice, native to Sri Lanka and Southern India. This luscious, exotic essential oil has an enchanting, warm, aromatic sweet-spicy, somewhat medicinal aroma. The lovely aroma is found to be uplifting, invigorating and refreshing, adding a little spice on its own or to blends.

A member of the Ginger family, Cardamom is a well-known culinary spice and is used extensively around the globe as a lively flavoring agent. This essential oil blends especially well with oils that are in the wood, resin, floral, spice and citrus families.

Each and every batch of Amala essential oils is tested by an independent international laboratory before being sent to us. A Certificate of Analysis is issued, stating the purity of the oil.

AROMATHERAPY

Cardamom Essential Oil has a lively array of oxides and ester molecules that have an affinity for the respiratory and digestive systems. This warming essential oil is a natural decongestant. Cardamom Oil can be helpful to those who have digestive problems, such as nausea, particularly when these are stress related.  Cardamom Oil is also well-known for its ability to revive and invigorate those who are feeling tired and weak.

COSMETICS

An interesting aromatic for the perfumer, both masculine and feminine colognes and perfumes are energized by Cardamom Essential Oil's spicy and enchanting aroma.

Cardamom Essential Oil has strong calming and grounding properties, promoting emotional equilibrium when diffused or used in direct palm inhalation. It exerts a fortifying influence on mental functioning, reducing drowsiness and improving concentration. Its exotic character is sensual and warming, making it a key component of aphrodisiac oil blends.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here. 

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.

Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.
