Our organic Himalayan Cedarwood Essential Oil is steam distilled from the powerful wood of Cedrus deodara, grown in the forests of India. Deep, woody, and quietly commanding, this oil carries a smooth, warm aroma with subtle balsamic undertones — grounding, confident, and unmistakably masculine.

Known as “the timber of the gods,” Deodar Cedar has symbolised strength and resilience for centuries. Its rich scent profile makes it a natural foundation note in men’s grooming blends, colognes, beard oils, and aftershaves.

Each and every batch of Amala essential oils is tested by an independent international laboratory before being sent to us. A Certificate of Analysis is issued, stating the purity of the oil.

REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES

AROMATHERAPY

Himalayan Cedarwood has been valued in traditional medicine and natural cosmetics for generations. It is commonly used to help ease minor pain and inflammation, particularly associated with joint discomfort. It also supports respiratory wellness, promoting clearer, more comfortable breathing.

COSMETICS

Himalayan Cedarwood is a standout ingredient in natural men’s skincare and haircare. Its clarifying and antibacterial properties help cleanse the skin and scalp, reduce excess oil, and support a clear, balanced complexion.

Ideal for:
• Beard oils and balms
• Aftershave blends
• Hair and scalp treatments
• Natural cologne formulations

It helps soothe irritation after shaving, supports healthy-looking skin, and promotes a refreshed, clean feel without stripping natural moisture. When used in beard care, it nourishes both skin and hair while adding a subtle, woody scent that lingers with understated sophistication.

EMOTIONALLY & ENERGETICALLY

Deeply grounding and calming, Himalayan Cedarwood is especially supportive during times of stress or transition. It helps steady an overworked nervous system, encouraging resilience, stability, and a quiet sense of strength.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.

SAFETY

Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.

We do not recommend using essential oils on pets, unless under the care of a veterinarian or aromatherapist.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sourced internationally from sustainable crops of plants, grown organically wherever possible, and bottled locally in sunny SA, we're the best of all worlds.

Absolutely not, all of our oils are pure essential oils, nothing else. We will never supply oils with added fillers, synthetic additives or toxic chemicals.

Added to that our oils are certified organic wherever possible, or wild harvested from trees in remote places like the Amazon.

Whilst our oils are 100% pure and organic and as good quality as any others you can get, we do not recommend swallowing them. Oils are very strong and using too much, or the wrong oil can damage your digestive system.
Always ask your doctor or qualified aromatherapist before taking any essential
oils internally.
