Our pure Cape Chamomile Essential Oil is steam distilled from the tiny buds and delicate white flowers of the hardy Eriocephalus punctulatus plant, which thrives along the mountain slopes of South Africa’s coast. Though distantly related to German and Roman Chamomile, Cape Chamomile Essential Oil boasts a uniquely sweet, fruity, floral, earthy, and herbaceous aroma.

Renowned for its fragrance, Cape Chamomile Essential Oil is considered the most aromatic among the Chamomile varieties and is often used in high-end perfumes. Its striking blue hue comes from the presence of Chamazulene, a compound known for its anti-inflammatory and skin-rejuvenating properties.

AROMATHERAPY

Cape Chamomile Essential Oil is highly nourishing for the skin and is particularly effective in soothing hot, dry, and irritated conditions like eczema, rashes, insect bites, and burns. It also provides relief from menstrual cramps and hot flashes. Packed with anti-inflammatory compounds, this essential oil helps reduce pain, redness, and swelling caused by inflammation. DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here. 

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.
