Clove Organic Essential Oil

Our organic Clove Bud Essential Oil is steam distilled from the blossoming, tiny, crimson buds of the Eugenia caryophyllata (syn Syzygium aromaticum) evergreen tree growing wild in the forests of Indonesia. With its rich, warm, sweet-spicy aroma, Clove Bud Oil is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic benefits, due to its dominating ingredient, eugenol.

Due to its exceptional antioxidant capabilities Clove Essential Oil has been included in many recipes for health and long life. The main chemical component of the oil is Eugenol, which is also responsible for Clove Oil's strong fragrance. 

Each and every batch of Amala essential oils is tested by an independent international laboratory before being sent to us. A Certificate of Analysis is issued, stating the purity of the oil.

AROMATHERAPY

Clove Bud Essential Oil is most widely used to help with pain and inflammation associated with dental problems. Applied topically in extremely low dilution and with the help of other oils, Clove Oil assists in restoring ease and comfort to tired, fatigued or overworked bodies. Spicy and heart warming, Clove Oil is a powerful cleaner for the home, especially during seasonal illness, when looking to minimize unwanted bacterial, viral, or fungal activity.  Clove Bud Essential Oil has also been known to assist in the treatment of wounds, cuts and fungal infections such as athlete’s foot. When diffused, it can be an added tool to support a healthy immune system and ease respiratory infections. Clove Oil is immensely beneficial as a digestive support when gently massaged onto the abdomen.

COSMETICS

Clove Bud Essential Oil blends especially well with essential oils in the wood, spice, citrus, floral and herbaceous families. It can be helpful in helping to improve the aroma of blends and formulations that have a medicinal or unpleasant scent to them. The antifungal and powerful antioxidant properties of Clove Oil make it a good choice for many cosmetics applications. Clove Oil is also wonderful for use in home fragrances, diffusion and potpourri blends.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here. 

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.

Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.
