Our wild harvested Copaiba Balsam Essential Oil is steam distilled from the delicately wildcrafted amber-colored resin gathered from the trunks of the tropical evergreen Copaifera officinalis trees, commonly called Copaiba Balsam (Copal), that grow deep in the rainforests of Brazil. To extract the resin, a hole is drilled / tapped into the copaiba tree, which can grow anywhere from 15-30 meters high. This sustainable rainforest resource can be harvested without affecting the health of the tree or the rainforest in which it grows.

The essential oil of Copaifera officinalis is composed primarily of the heavier sesquiterpene and diterpene hydrocarbons, and the dominant compound, beta-caryophyllene, which is an anti-inflammatory compound. Copaiba may be relatively new to the rest of the world, however, this essential oil has been used extensively by indigenous people of the Amazon and surrounding areas such as Peru for almost everything under the sun, and for at least four centuries. Copaiba Balsam Oil is your go to for inflammation, in fact it is considered one of the most anti-inflammatory substances on earth.

Each and every batch of Amala essential oils is tested by an independent international laboratory before being sent to us. A Certificate of Analysis is issued, stating the purity of the oil.

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. SAFETY

Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.
