Lemon Organic Essential Oil

Our organic Lemon Essential Oil is cold pressed from the bright yellow rinds of freshly harvested Citrus limonum fruits cultivated in sunny orchards of South Africa. With its bright, refreshing, magically sweet, lemony scent, Lemon Oil is a welcome addition to essential oils collection of both the perfumers as well as aromatherapists and cosmetics and beauty formulators.

Each and every batch of Amala essential oils is tested by an independent international laboratory before being sent to us. A Certificate of Analysis is issued, stating the purity of the oil.

AROMATHERAPY

Lemon Essential Oil is often used in DIY cleaning products that harness the purifying nature of Lemons to effectively cleanse and brighten a space. Along with being an exceptional choice for cleansing and purifying, Lemon Oil is a strong choice for formulating blends that reduce bacteria and help purify minor infections as well as reduce pain and inflammation. Lemon Oil can also uplift sullen moods and inspire positive thinking.

Lemon Essential Oil is a powerful detoxifier and diuretic, so it has been found to be helpful in detoxing a strained liver and in relieving gallstones and kidney issues. It is also powerful lymphatic drainage and relieving water retention.

Lemon Essential Oil can boost mental alertness, clear the mind and improve decision making. For this reason, many have found it to be useful when studying or experiencing brain fog.

COSMETICS

Lemon Essential Oil is commonly used in cosmetic products as well, especially those related to skin care*. It has strong antioxidant activity and anti-aging effects; and is effectively able to reduce cell and tissue damage in the skin that's caused by free radicals.  The astringent properties within Lemon Essential Oil are said to be effective in treating oily skin by counteracting the production of sebum, making it a great anti-acne aid. These same properties make it a wonderful addition to hair care, since it can be helpful in cleansing greasy hair whilst lifting dead skin cells to enhance volume and shine.

Lemon Essential Oil brings an element of sparkle to a blend and can help lift a cloud of depression or ease emotional tension. It has an extremely calming effect, especially when added to a diffuser and used for aromatherapy. Lemon Oil can also help with mental alertness and improving concentration. It has the ability to refresh the mind by creating a positive mindset and eliminating negative emotions.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here. 

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.

Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult a physician. Avoid contact with eyes.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.
