Lemongrass Organic Essential Oil

Our organic Lemongrass Essential Oil is steam distilled from the rich, spicy green grasses of the Cymbopogon flexuosus plant growing in the countryside of southern India. This is a fine Lemongrass Essential Oil variety, with a delightfully bold, lemony aroma and exceptional therapeutic properties. Lemongrass Essential Oil is used in holistic aromatherapy for a number of applications from aromatherapy and skincare to household cleaning.

Each and every batch of Amala essential oils is tested by an independent international laboratory before being sent to us. A Certificate of Analysis is issued, stating the purity of the oil.

REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES

AROMATHERAPY

In addition to helping reduce unwanted bacteria, microbes, or fungus, Lemongrass Essential Oil is also known to help manage pain and inflammation, and tired and overworked muscles making it a very good choice for an Epsom Salts soak. Lemongrass Oil has also been known to ease situational depression, and help support healthy digestion and to combat jetlag.

COSMETICS

Lemongrass Essential Oil is used for its astringent properties. Its Limonene content can help to dissolve excess oil. It is also purifying and toning to the skin and is frequently used in skin care products for these benefits.

Because of its high Citral and Geraniol content, Lemongrass Oil is known to repel bugs such as mosquitoes and ants.


EMOTIONALLY & ENERGETICALLY

Lemongrass Essential Oil can invite comfort during difficult emotional transitions, and encourage motivation during times of anxiety, stress and depression. The stimulating and refreshing aroma also uplifts and relaxes, assisting in both reducing fatigue and energizing the mind. When diffused or used in an aroma inhaler, Lemongrass Oil may help support concentration and give an energy boost.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here. 

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.
