Myrrh Organic Essential Oil

Our organic Myrrh Essential Oil is hydro distilled from the rich resin of the small, thorny Commiphora myrrha trees growing in the arid, sunny Somalian landscape. Myrrh Oil has a warm, sweet-earthy, smooth, dense, rich aroma with excellent fixative properties and can be used effectively in aromatherapy and natural perfume blends.

The significant history of Myrrh dates back thousands of years and records its extensive use in healing preparations, perfumery, incense, and ritualistic ceremonies. Myrrh's therapeutic properties are frequently mentioned in the old and new testaments, the Koran, and in Greek and Roman texts, as well as the Bible. It was also used extensively by the Ancient Egyptians.

Each and every batch of Amala essential oils is tested by an independent international laboratory before being sent to us. A Certificate of Analysis is issued, stating the purity of the oil.

AROMATHERAPY

This essential oil can also help mitigate the effect of a painful menstrual cycle by supporting overall uterine health. Myrrh Essential Oil strengthens the immune system and has an overall beneficial effect on the digestive system.

Myrrh Essential Oil has deep skin healing properties and is also wonderful for helping mature skin issues such as redness and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and scars when added to a carrier oil or lotion. DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here. 

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.
