Our organic Bulgarian Rose Absolute is extracted from the delicate petals of the freshly picked Rosa damascena flowers cultivated and harvested exclusively in the Valley of the Roses in the Bulgarian countryside. Our truly exquisite Bulgarian Damask Rose Absolute has a sweet, deep, highly floral, antique Rose aroma with a faint indole, warm, honeyed undertone and a superb fresh green, lemon-citrus note - a perfect balance of the Queen of Flowers! 

Wondering about the difference between an Essential Oil and an Absolute Oil? Essential oils are mostly produced through a steam distillation process, but some flowers are too delicate for steam distillation and are therefore extracted in a complex method using solvents, resulting in a highly concentrated aromatic oil called an Absolute Oil. An absolute is the most concentrated form of fragrance and highly regarded in natural perfumery.

Solvent extraction does not mean harmful chemicals are used, it is simply a better method of extracting the pure oils from very delicate flowers such as Rose and Jasmine.

AROMATHERAPY

Bulgarian Damask Rose Absolute Oil is helpful in managing minor pain and inflammation, reducing the presence of unwanted bacterial activity, and helping to ease unwanted muscle spasms.

Rose oil has been known to be relaxing and uplifting and researches believe that it may stimulate the brain to release endorphins, the “feel good” hormone. This can also lead to pain relief, making it an excellent addition to menstrual pain remedies. 

COSMETICS

Rose Absolute Oil has been one of the most important and most extensively used oils in the creation of perfumes. The aroma is often used as the perfume's principal theme, but it is also prized for its ability, especially in extremely diluted form, to blend well with almost all other aromas and to enhance and round out many perfume compositions.

Rose Absolute is traditionally calming and uplifting, and is used for its soothing, rejuvenating and toning properties on skin. It enhances natural skin glow and radiance and helps with superficial broken capillaries and scars, as well as eczema and rosea. It is also perfect for dry, sensitive, or mature skin and for helping soothe hot skin conditions such as rashes and boils.

Rose Absolute Oil is said to possess strong anti-depressant and uplifting properties. It is well suited for use in formulations intended to help manage situational anxiety and promote restful sleep, relaxation and to encourage a sense of calm. The Rose is also known as the flower of seduction because of its potent natural aphrodisiac properties, and it may be helpful in sexual wellness applications.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here. 

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.
