Turmeric Organic Essential Oil

Our organic Turmeric Essential Oil is steam distilled from the vivid orange rhizomes of the flowering Curcuma longa plant cultivated in India. Turmeric has been used in South Asian countries and India as a spice and house medicine for centuries; it is widely recognized in modern herbalism for its beneficial effects in many health-related issues.

Turmeric Essential Oil has two powerful ketones, Turmerone and ar-Turmerone. In aromatherapy, ketone molecules are excellent solvents and are highly volatile - this is why many ketone-rich oils are used to assist skin healing and are often considered top notes in natural perfumery. Both these components have also been shown to help our bodies with the absorption of Curcumin, a strong antioxidant.

Each and every batch of Amala essential oils is tested by an independent international laboratory before being sent to us. A Certificate of Analysis is issued, stating the purity of the oil.

AROMATHERAPY

Turmeric Oil can help ease pain and inflammation, especially when it comes to managing rheumatism and warming cold, painful joints. Along with being a remarkable anti-inflammatory and analgesic powerhouse, making it ideal for use in a massage after a heavy workout, Turmeric Essential Oil can also support the digestive system when diluted and applied to the abdomen and can help reduce fluid retention and even lower LDL cholesterol levels.

It may also help with detoxifying the body, boosting the immune system, and reducing allergic responses. It has a high level of antioxidants, so supports the bodies overall wellness.

Turmeric Essential Oil is understood to help improve concentration and cognitive function and boost memory retention. It is also thought to have a calming, balancing effect on the mood, with studies having shown it to be effective in reducing stress.

*Turmeric oil can stain light colored clothing so be sure to dilute it well.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Apply Topically: Our Single Essential Oils and Blends are 100% pure and undiluted. To apply to the skin, dilute with a high-quality Carrier Oil and use in an easy to apply roller bottle. For a guide on how much to use, see our dilution chart here. 

Diffuse & Inhale: Breathe in your favorite essential oils using an essential oil diffuser or apply to your wrists and inhale. You can also add a few drops to your hands and form a 'tent' over your nose and inhale. A great way to diffuse when you are on the go is to use diffuser jewellery or a car diffuser.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.
