Discover the Healing Benefits of Rosehip Oil

Ancient civilizations have long prized the healing benefits of rosehip oil, derived from the bright orange/pink fruit of the rosa canina rose bush. Loaded with skin nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids, this oil has phenols that have been shown to have antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties.

One of the greatest benefits of rosehip oil is its abundant vitamin C content. Acting as an antioxidant, the vitamin C protects cells against damage and disease. It can even help repair skin after sun damage and reverse signs of aging caused by too much sun exposure. Additionally, carotenoids found within rosehip oil keep skin looking fresh and healthy by creating new skin cells, while vitamin F traps moisture within the skin and protects against damage.

Rosehip is an excellent choice for an anti-aging skin serum combined wit anti-aging and moisturising  essential oils such as FrankincenseRosemary, Clary Sage and Helichrysum.

Rosehip oil is also known for its ability to contribute to acne relief by helping to prevent clogged pores. Its trans retinoic acid helps regulate the production of new skin cells, which can help brighten the skin, prevent blackheads, and reduce inflammation. Phenols within rosehip oil also contain antibacterial properties that fight skin conditions like eczema. Add some Tea Tree essential oil to Rosehip oil for teenage or problem skins.

Speaking of eczema, this common skin inflammation can cause itching and redness, but rosehip oil can help alleviate the condition. Its phenols are effective against bacteria, and its barrier and hydration properties can alleviate the symptoms.

Early research even indicates that rosehip oil may help reduce the appearance of scars. A study on people after skin surgeries showed that rosehip oil's treatment reduced scar discoloration and overall appearance.

For those concerned with stretch marks, one study demonstrated that a cream composed of rosehip oil, vitamin E, and other oils prevented severe stretch marks in pregnant women.

Lavender essential oil and Frankincense are  also powerful natural treatments for both scar repair and stretch marks, so combine 10 drops of each essential oil with Rosehip oil in a 10ml roller bottle and roll on the area twice a day.

While allergic reactions are possible, rosehip oil usually poses very few side effects. With its rich nutrient content and many benefits, rosehip oil is a powerful tool for protecting and restoring skin health. So why not give it a try and see what it can do for your skin?
