INGREDIENTS

Lemongrass Essential Oil (Cymbopogon flexuosus)

Lemongrass repels insects primarily due to its high content of citral, which masks human odors and overwhelms insects' senses, making it difficult for them to locate their targets. It’s effective against mosquitoes, flies, and other pests, often used in sprays, candles, and diffusers.

Clove Bud Essential Oil (Eugenia caryophyllata)

The main component, eugenol, makes clove oil highly effective as both a repellent and insecticide. It disrupts insects' nervous systems and masks attractants like body odors, repelling mosquitoes, ants, and other pests while offering long-lasting protection.

Citronella Essential Oil (Cymbopogon winterianus)

Citronella oil contains citronellal, citronellol, and geraniol, which repel mosquitoes and flying insects by masking human scents and disrupting their sensory perception. While effective, it typically requires frequent reapplication as its repellent effects are temporary.

Thyme Essential Oil (Thymus vulgaris)

Rich in thymol, thyme oil acts as both an insecticide and repellent by affecting the nervous systems of mosquitoes, ticks, and other pests. Its strong scent masks attractants like carbon dioxide, and it can also kill insect larvae, offering broad-spectrum pest control.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Diffusing:

To keep insects away naturally, add a few drops of Bug Off Essential Oil Blend to your Aromatherapy Diffuser, Car Diffuser, or Diffuser Jewellery.

Topical Application:

You can receive the benefits of Bug Off by diluting this essential oil blend into a preferred carrier oil (we recommend Fractionated Coconut Oil), add this dilution to a roller bottle and apply to the exposed areas of skin when insects are around.

SAFETY

Keep out of reach of children. If pregnant or under a doctor’s care, consult physician. Avoid contact with eyes.

Do not use internally unless instructed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful oils and can cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended.

We do not recommend using essential oils on pets, unless under the care of a veterinarian or aromatherapist.

Essential Oils are very concentrated and are likely to cause irritation or reactions if applied directly to the skin. For this reason, we recommend diluting your essential oils before using topically (on the skin). We recommend a 2-4% dilution for skin application.
